You may not even know it's happening, but if kicking and twitching of your legs is disrupting or interfering with your sleep, you will no doubt feel very tired the next day. If you experience the problem while trying to fall asleep or it wakes you up, you might describe it as tingling, "creepy-crawly" sensations or burning feelings in the feet, calves, thighs or arms. You will have an overwhelming need to move or rub those areas until the feelings stop. Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) may not be the most serious sleep disorder in terms of health consequences, but it sure can cause a lot of misery for people trying to get a good night's sleep.
