Reverie vs. Air

Reverie material is natural and inherently conforms to the contours of your body, whereas air needs to be manually adjusted.

Compare Reverie Material Air

How is it made?

Proprietary Reverie formulation of natural rubber manufactured to the highest standards of quality and excellence. An air bladder, similar to a raft and covered in layers of foam and fabric.

How does it respond to my body?

Adjusts perfectly to your body’s curves and contours. Natural rubber is one of the most responsive materials known to man. Air doesn’t respond to your body’s contours. You need to adjust the remote to try to get the trapped air to conform and feel right.

Does it have enough support?

The 8 inch thickness of Reverie natural material and over 200 individual custom support chambers allow you to rest easy and sleep in comfort every night. Without enough air in the bladder for support, the mattress will sag and must be manually adjusted.

What about pressure points?

Our natural rubber support chambers are laid out in a softness/firmness pattern to reduce pressure on specific areas of your body like hips and shoulders. Although they are covered with foam and fabric, high end air mattresses can still feel somewhat like camp mattresses: neither comfortable nor supportive.

If my partner moves around will I feel it?

Each individual natural rubber air chamber is independent of the rest. If you move one, there is very little motion transfer. When you apply or remove pressure in one area, the air shifts and movement can be felt on the other side of the bed.

Is it durable?

Our products are designed to last, and we stand behind them with a limited life time warranty on our mattress and a limited 20 year warranty on our adjustable base. The air mattress will often leak air over time causing it to sag.

Is it healthy?

Natural rubber and bamboo are anti-bacterial, ant-microbial and hypo-allergenic. Add in natural rubber’s dust mite resistance and you have the right combination for a clean and healthy sleep environment. The various layers of foams and synthetic fabrics that encase the air bladders can be havens for dust mites and bed bugs - even mold and other bacteria.
